For manuscripts ready to be refined to professional standard.

$0.02-$0.03 per word on average

Copyediting includes:

  • Consistency checks (terminology, capitalization, internal logic)
  • Light line editing for awkward phrasing
  • Querying confusing passages
  • Style sheet creation for ongoing projects or series

Heavily revised manuscripts or those requiring significant consistency work may fall toward the higher end of the range.

Proofreading

For manuscripts that have already been professionally edited and formatted.
